City of Westminster / Colorado State Agencies

Working for the City of Westminster (project sponsor), Destiny is developing an ArcIMS website and property database designed to list and promote the redevelopment of brownfields and other disused properties statewide. The website enables significant economic potential by allowing participating agencies to list and promote properties in a low cost, low overhead, web-based environment. Benefits of the collaboration include pooled resources, lower development costs, and the opportunity to promote properties to a larger audience of developers and investors.

For developers and investors interested in identifying available properties, the site provides basic web-mapping and look-up tools that make it easy to list properties by city, county, or other location, and to identify properties based on selection criteria. The property database includes property address, status, and description; land-use and zoning information; details on local and regional environmental background conditions; Phase I and Phase II environmental assessment reports (PDF files available for viewing or download); details on completed remedial actions, or actions still required; and details on special incentives and other funding available from the state or offering agencies. Key contacts are also included. Paramount to the front-range, the website will feature an overlay outlining the RTD’s FasTracks transportation system. For agencies interested in posting a property listing, the system provides easy-to-use menus and forms that prompt key information, property descriptions, and other data, automatically posting these into the database and onto the websites.
